For village leaders
A Child Friendly Village
A village is like a big family courtyard: every adult keeps an eye on every child.
What you can do
- Make sure every pregnancy is registered and every birth is recorded.
- Track Anganwadi attendance, vaccination and nutrition for under-6s.
- Get every child into school and keep them there; act on dropouts early.
- Stand firm against child marriage and child labour.
- Hold a regular Bal Sabha so children can tell the panchayat what they need.
Take the first step
Tell us about your village and we'll help you plan the first steps with your panchayat and Anganwadi.
